What is lacking in our educational system that a large number of children are facing learning crisis? What steps can be taken to improve it? Share your thoughts.
To improve education, we need to make sure all kids can go to good schools, use fun ways to teach them, support teachers better, update what kids learn, try different ways to see what they've learned, help kids with disabilities, work with parents, support kids with family problems or feelings, and keep trying new ways to teach."
To improve educational system - Learning at early stage should be started. Home is the 1st school for kids,so upto some extent parents should take Initiative to teach kids at early stage which is important for them, which i. Turns make education system more impactful.
Addressing the learning crisis in our educational system requires a multi-faceted approach:
1. Individualized Learning Plans: • Implement personalized learning strategies that cater to individual students’ needs, allowing them to progress at their own pace. 2. Teacher Training and Support: • Provide ongoing professional development for teachers, focusing on modern teaching methods, technology integration, and understanding diverse learning styles.
3.Curriculum Relevance: • Regularly review and update the curriculum to ensure it aligns with real-world needs, promotes critical thinking, and integrates practical skills. 4. Parental Involvement: • Encourage active involvement of parents in their children’s education through workshops, information sessions, and strategies to support learning at home. 5. Emphasis on Holistic Education: • Move beyond exam-centric education and focus on holistic development, including social and emotional skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
Children come from various backgrounds. Some are even 1st generation learners. Parents lack awareness regarding the importance of education in life. Many times both parents are professionals and busy with their careers. Nuclear family, broken families also add to these. Language barrier in school too can be an additional factor. Student teacher ratio is not appropriate in most of the schools Overburdened teachers, less time to complete the portion, may hinder in the students attaining the required skills. The govt should have a reality-based curriculum designed with activities depending upon the various learning styles of the target group. Focus should be on attaining the required skill.
There are many things which become an impediment in the process of learning of children. The children are mostly first generation learners. Their parents think that admitting their children in a school is absolves them of their responsibility. They think it to be sole responsibility of a teacher to make him/her learned. We are often reminded that there are 3 pillars in the learning process; teacher, student and the parent. But, parents do not support their children at home making it tough for teachers to make actual learning happen. Teachers have no say in developing syllabus in accordance with the learning capabilities of the children. The syllabus is general in outreach and there are authoritative pressures to complete the given syllabus. There is no flexibility in moulding the syllabus with actual ground situation. Infrastructure and parent teacher ratio is dismal. many classes are being taught in one class. For a 40-45 minutes class a teachers has to teach 2-3 classes at a time. That is, 15-20 minutes per class time distribution. How can this time distribution suffice the learning needs. And there cannot be always common goals for many classes. These things need to be tken into considertion.
In our country there are a large no of people who are not educated, some do not have the facilities to go to school as they have to travel a large distance, some have financial problems so they refused sending their children to school. In this type of situation the government must start small school in remote areas and encourage the parents to send their kids to school , the government can also give the underprivileged free education.
In our country there are large number of people who are uneducated some have financial problems. There is no sufficient transport facility.Lack of awareness regrading about the importance of education in rural areas. We should enlighten the society on the importance of education

Some of the issues of our children to face learning crisis: 1.The Parents themselves being uneducated, do not give priority to educate their children. So, the children coming from such families are unprepared to learn. 2..Financial issues is another cause as there is no proper job for many, even if one is working, the pay is not enough, as the cost of living is high. 3.Our education so far has been mostly textual. No practical work and as such sitting in the classroom is boring which makes the child think twice. So fieldwork or play is necessary right from the younger age
in an ideal situation the policies in place are perfect for developmentally sound goals for children but in reality there are a number of factors which are not applicable in the real life situation. Lack of playgrounds in schools, student teacher ratio in many classes, lack of time leading to too many things being done but not much time given for retention in the race to cover syllabus are all detrimental to student physical and mental health. Cost of living in metros have working parents with jobs leaving hardly anytime to spend quality time with their children, hence neglected . Cooperative and collaborative efforts from both the school and parents to educate a child is the need of the hour.
In India, Many parents are not educated so as to guide their children at home.So they entirely depend upon the teachers. On the other side teachers can't give full attention towards each child.Children are generally not in the state of learning honestly. Some students disturb the whole class.Teachers can't control all the students in given limit of time.So they just do their work for the sake of doing. There is no dedication. Also now many restrictions are there for teachers from government. All these factors lead to poor performance of children.
There are many reasons due to which children are facing learning crisis. Some of them are as follows: 1.Lack of stimulating environment at home or at school. 2.In some cases , Parents don't pay attention on their child 's study. 3.Poverty is also one of the reason. We can improve the situation by providing multiple exploratory situation to the child.we also need to develop the readiness among children.
Some of the issues resulting in learning crisis are: 1. Parents themselves are uneducated. So, the children coming from such families lack support in learning 2..Financial issues is another cause as there is no proper job for many, even if one is working, the pay is not enough, as the cost of living is high. 3.Our education so far has been mostly textual. No practical work and as such sitting in the classroom is boring which makes the child think twice. So fieldwork or play is necessary right from the younger age
Most of the government teachers don't follow pedagogy. The situation in rural areas are worst. Unless teachers take the responsibility it is difficult to bring about the change.
The syllabus is general in outreach and there are authoritative pressures to complete the given syllabus. There is no flexibility in moulding the syllabus with actual ground situation. Infrastructure and parent teacher ratio is dismal. many classes are being taught in one class.
Lack of infrastructure, healthy environment, ignorant and illiterate parents, poverty are few of the reasons for learning crisis. If Government can spend and provide full pay scale to the teachers then why does our Government not able to provide sound infrastructure and services for building of the nation. Children are the future of the country and with more than 5 crore children who have not attained Foundational Literacy and Numeracy at elementary level is an alarming situation.
Learning crisis in our educational system may have following reasons: 1. Poor home environment of students ,so, they can't revise what they learn in schools and eventually forget everything 2. Parental mindset for studies as unimportant task 3.all the household chores to be done by students at home or help with their parents's work 4.Delay in early detection of learning disabilities
Steps that could be taken to resolve learning crisis: 1. Allow students to study in school libraries after school hours 2.Parental counseling 3.Enable the students to learn from daily life household tasks also 3. Strengthening of special education facilities from pre-primary onwards
Although the government is taking major steps for the upcoming generation still we lag in some of the areas. Some of them are good infrastructure, parents accountability, proper schedules etc.
Most of the government teachers don't follow pedagogy. The situation in rural areas are worst. Unless teachers take the responsibility it is difficult to bring about the change.
Social and economic disparity are the main reasons which cause difficulty in the smooth functioning of our educational system. There are still many first generation learners or parents with little education so, they are not able to provide academic, mental or emotional support to their children to attend school.
Some of the issues resulting in learning crisis are: 1. Parents themselves are uneducated. So, the children coming from such families lack support in learning. 2. Financial issues is another cause as there is no proper job for many, even if one is working, the pay is not enough, as the cost of living is high. 3.Our education so far has been mostly textual. No practical work and as such sitting in the classroom is boring which makes the child think twice. So fieldwork or play is necessary right from the younger age. 4. Vast syllabus or unnecessary syllabus to study. 5. Pressure on students and teachers to stick with syllabus, no creativity. 6. Politics play.
There are many things which become an impediment in the process of learning of children. Parental mindset for studies as unimportant task- all the household chores to be done by students at home or help with their parents's work Delay in early detection of learning disabilities. There is no flexibility in moulding the syllabus with actual ground situation. Infrastructure and parent teacher ratio is dismal
There are rather many obstacles that students are facing causing a huge learning crisis. At the earliest stage ,students fave lack of excitement and consequently readiness to eben attend school. Then there's the lack of inclusiveness, children are fed what the education systems deem favourable but there should be more interesting contents made available to students. In later staged, students come across the lack of options abd instead of pursuing personal options, they are forced to take up what is provided to them ,rather there is lack of practicality and vocational provision which discouraged students . There are also problems such as financial constraints and lack of trained educators too which further caused a learning crisis
The larger population are still under privileged with no access to education. Though we have the infrastructure and man power, the facilities are inaccessible by many children. If they are first generation learners, help needed at home is not given to them. Also learning disabilities are unidentified and not corrected at early stage.
In our educational system a smooth transition from family to school is missing. Many of the students are not ready for the evry first class. But they are bring admitted in the class just due to their age. We need to aware the parents that their child is not ready. He/she needs a readiness course.
Firstly teacher will behave with students freely , then take study in playway method , encourge students motivate them communicate with Parents and tell the to support to your child study Development

Reasons for the learning crisis- a) Little information about the learners. b) Little attention to what teachers know. c) Absence of good infrastructure facilities d) Lack of proper training of Principals and teachers to manage and lead school
In our country there are many children who lives in rural areas they dont have any facilities . systemshould provide them basic needs as well as education, etc
Learning crisis due to various reasons : 1. Socio-economic background of children. 2. Many of them are first generation learners. 3. Financial issue is one of the major reasons because children can't get appropriate resources for learning. 4. Facilitator can make individualized educational plan as the remedial classes to overcome these type of learning crisis.
The main reason of learning crisis in our educational system is the medium of instruction used by the teacher and the out dated curriculum .E.g in the case of Ladakh the agricultural as well as the geographical properties are diffrent as compared to the other states so the curriculum should be frame according to the above facts in me mind.
In our current education system...for early years there is no fix curriculum to follow.. Different schools institutions are following their own curriculum for early years.. There should be common curriculum to follow, even books . School and institutions will provide innovative teaching learning material material Regular parents workshop should be taken for how to teach children at home How to encourage children for learning with daily experience s
Financial issue is the main hindrance. Poor people can't afford as if government provides the free education but still most of the people below poverty line are not interested to teach their children.
Kids struggle because old stuff, teachers need better training, and schools need more money. Fix it with fun lessons, ongoing learning, and extra cash for schools. Keep it personal and supportive to turn things around.
Lack of transport facility, financial problems and lack of education in parents are the main reasons. In order to overcome this Government should take necessary steps
The learning crisis often stems from inadequate resources, outdated curricula, and unequal access to education. To address this, investment in teacher training, updated materials, and technology integration is crucial. Additionally, focusing on inclusive policies, reducing disparities in access, and promoting innovative teaching methods can contribute to a more effective and equitable educational system.
There are a lot of reasons like Many children don't turn up to school because the learning conditions are so poor. It is important for all children to have teachers with at least a good secondary-level qualification. Therefore, governments should invest in improving access to quality secondary education to enlarge the pool of good teacher candidates.
Some of the important issues & problems faced by our education system are illiterate parents, lack of attraction towards education, improper way of teaching and lack of infrastructure
The current education system is suffering from lack of attention or accessibility which can be due to uneducated parents, financial issues and general lack of attraction to school among the children. There should be more emphasis on the facilities, curriculums that cover a wide variety of subjects and activities, actions to educate parents on the importance of education and easier availability of education to those who are financially troubled.
A productive parents' meet can help us clap better in the long time. Children need punctual care, parents need consistent monitoring on their child and teachers hardworking.
We are still living in the era of Commit and Vomit and also Quite and Wrote Method of teaching. Our education system is a one way process where the teacher teach and the students listens.Vht for how long. When such teaching becones monotonous, students will be diverted from real studies. Our Examination Systems test the memory not the intelligence. This the defective Macaulay 's Teaching Minutes. We must apply pragmatic approach while teaching and allow the students to be the part of teaching learning process.Further, in developed countries, open book system of examinations are practised, where the questions are constructed in such a way that even after looking at the books ,they need the cognitive functions to frame the correct answers More importantly, the teachers should be given all their due rights because a state where teachers are treated as burdens will will never progress.Teachers ,if provided all their basic rights can bring about revolution in the education system. Open corruption is practised in many schools and nepotism kills the talented teachers.More importantly, the basic infrastructure like laboratory, library, computers classes and unhygienic lavatory and no scope of games and sports are hindrance to the quality education.Nepotism is openly promoted. Unless efficient teachers are appointed, we will keep on suffering.
Students are forced to read the books which they don't want to do. Thy should not be forced to read. Students should be taken out for facing the real life situation and make them experience everything they need to know by reading the books.
NEED FOR OUE EDUCATION SYSTEM 1Need to grow in isolation without interference 2 Policies framed from Grassroot Level-Teacher Level 3 Incubation period to HOI to grow its institution.
There are so many problems which the society faces. The main problem is illiteracy ol parents and financial problem. More and more financial and parental support is need of an hour
Some reasons may be: 1.Lack of required infrastructure, lack of staff for primary as well as pre-primary classes . 2.Lack of motivation 3. Illiterate parents
less time for experiential learning and more to rote memorization, the curriculum and time allotted to it is such that teachers main focus is towards completion of syllabus without recapitulating or assessing the need for remedial at pre primary level, however imphasised , you see teachers teaching alphabets and number by rote less importance is given to phonics or learning language by reading or listening story books , or by communication math is a conceptual subject, where no effort is done to teach the concepts eg tables ...whole effort is in rote memorization , rather than teaching what multiplication is . more hindrances are - awareness level or background of parents, where very less support is provided to pupil at home. lack of use of mother tongue. english cannot be main medium of teaching. it has to be bilingual where a concept in first understood in mother tongue and grasped in foreign language later or simultaneously . TEACHER TRAINING has to be looked into !
At the earliest stage ,students fave lack of excitement and consequently readiness to eben attend school. Then there's the lack of inclusiveness, children are fed what the education systems deem favourable but there should be more interesting contents made available to students. Students are forced to read the books which they don't want to do. Thy should not be forced to read. There is a great problem of Teaching staff and infrastructure mostly in our rural areas. The same teacher has to run MDM, Pre-primary and other class. The teachers remain mostly engaged in other Non Teaching Assignments. There are some schools where there is only single Teacher and he /she has to manage all the classes single handedly besides other assignments.
There are multiple factors that contribute in the defective educational system of our country some are as.Lack of staff... Lake of parent control on children, lack of time for learning something because of record works and especially the contribution of parents are equal to nothing. The position will not change untill the bond between parent and teacher strengthen by keeping child at the centre.
I think, Due to lack of play ground facilities and infrastructure and also cooperation of parents children showing less intrest in learning new things.
Addressing the learning crisis in our educational system requires a multi-faceted approach:
1. Individualized Learning Plans: • Implement personalized learning strategies that cater to individual student's needs, allowing them to progress at their own pace. 2. 3.Curriculum Relevance: • Regularly review and update the curriculum to ensure it aligns with real-world needs, promotes critical thinking, and integrates practical skills. Holistic Development of children through joyful learning activities Teachers to be included in the syllabus preparation, text book making and upgradation.
Many reasons are there. 1.Early care is not provided amply, ECCE facilities are lacking, parents are uneducated besides poverty is also a cause. Addressing learning crises may be undertaken by giving academic support to teachers, providing individual attention to children and preparing revised curriculla.
Too much emphasize is on teaching and learning. Physical activities like playing periods are minimum. Schools do provide practical knowledge but that adheres to the concept limited to the textbooks. Today there is need to connect intellectually as well as emotionally to each and every student.
I think, Due to lack of play ground facilities and infrastructure and also cooperation of parents children showing less intrest in learning new things. The children are mostly first generation learners. Their parents think that admitting their children in a school is absolves them of their responsibility. They think it to be sole responsibility of a teacher to make him/her learned. The issue lies in the disparity present in our society, different backgrounds of the parents. The rich can afford good education but the poor struggle for the basic needs and education takes a backseat. The government has opened schools and education is free and compulsory till elementary level but homes where parents struggle for ends to meet, education takes a backseat.
The learning crisis among children is often fueled by inequitable access to education, outdated teaching methods, resource constraints, and a narrow focus on academic achievement. To improve the system, efforts should prioritize equitable access, modern pedagogy, teacher training, infrastructure improvement, holistic development, addressing socio-economic barriers, and fostering parental and community involvement. By implementing these measures, we can create a more inclusive and effective educational environment that nurtures the diverse needs and potentials of all students.
What is lacking in our educational system that a large number of children are facing learning crisis? What steps can be taken to improve it? Share your thoughts.
Reflection: There are several factors contributing to the learning crisis in education systems worldwide. Some common issues include inadequate resources, overcrowded classrooms, outdated teaching methods, insufficient teacher training, lack of parental involvement, socio-economic disparities, and limited access to technology and educational materials.
Steps to be taken to address:-
Addressing these issues requires comprehensive reforms focused on 1. Improving infrastructure, 2. Teacher training (continuous professional Development) 3. Curriculum development, 4. Utilisation of Technology to improve educational system, 5. Framing and implementing new education policies at standard intervals and 6. Equitable access to education for all children.
Yeah, it's definitely concerning that so many kids are facing learning difficulties. One thing that's lacking in our educational system is personalized attention. Teachers often have large class sizes, making it hard to give individual support. We need smaller class sizes and more resources for students who need extra help. Additionally, incorporating more interactive and engaging teaching methods can make learning more enjoyable and effective.
Most of the government teachers don't follow pedagogy. The situation in rural areas are worst. Unless teachers take the responsibility it is difficult to bring about the change.
The children who are first generation learners, do not get support from their parents. Their parents do not understand the importance of learning and their are financial constraints also due to which many children remain deprived of required level of learning. Besides that there is a lot of burden on teachers in India.
In our country there are many children who lives in rural area like ladakh they do not have any facilities and lack of transport facility, financial problem. In order to Government should take necessary step.
A growing body of evidence suggests the learning crisis is, at its core, a teaching crisis. For students to learn, they need good teachers—but many education systems pay little attention to what teachers know, what they do in the classroom, and in some cases whether they even show up.
In our schools number of students in a class is very high. When a child wants care teacher is unable to give the attention because she wants to take care of all others. So teacher student ratio should be decreased.
Most importantly children come from different backgrounds different community different mindset that parents hold. It becomes tough for kids who belongs to uneducated gaurdians. Secondly the teachers of government school pay low to minimum attention towards those kids. I see many anganwadi teachers who are merely intrested in teaching kids. If the authorities can pay can address these issues change is possible.
Lack of willingness of the parents of children is one of the barriers, secondly adequate home atmosphere is also not provided...if these difficulties are addressed a visible change is possible.
Parents take primary background light as they think the child is small and does not focus much. Uneducated parents. More of mobile usage by the children. Proper teachers training and the strength of the classes.
National Education Policy 2020 highlighted that various governmental, as well as non-governmental surveys, indicate that we are currently in a learning crisis: a large proportion of students currently in elementary school- estimated to be over 5 crores in number - have not attained foundational literacy and numeracy, i.e., the ability to read and comprehend basic text and the ability to carry out basic addition and subtraction with Indian numerals. Presently, quality ECCE is not available to crores of young children, particularly children from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Strong investment in ECCE has the potential to give all young children such access, enabling them to participate and flourish in the educational system throughout their lives. Currently, with the lack of universal access to ECCE, a large proportion of children already fall behind within the first few weeks of Grade 1. Thus, to ensure that all students are school ready, an interim 3-month play-based 'school preparation module for all Grade 1 students, consisting of activities and workbooks around the learning of alphabets, sounds, words, colors, shapes, and numbers, and involving collaborations with peers and parents, will be developed by NCERT and SCERTs. In order to improve the low learning levels of children, governments across different countries invest in teacher preparation, making assessment or monitoring mechanisms more effective, revision of textbooks, improved physical infrastructure etc. but the curricular approaches and classroom practices tend to remain stagnant.
India is a country of unity in diversity. Children comes to school from various backgrounds. Some are even 1st generation learners. Parents lack awareness regarding the importance of education in life. Many a times both parents are professionals and busy with their careers. Nuclear family, broken families also add to these. Language barrier in school too can be an additional factor. Student teacher ratio is not appropriate in most of the schools. There is less time to complete the portion for the teachers. The govt should have a reality-based curriculum designed with activities depending upon the various learning styles of the targeted group. Focus should be on attaining the useful and required skill for the last person.
Many children face a learning crisis due to significant gaps in our educational system, including unequal access to resources, outdated curricula, and insufficient teacher support. Children from low-income families often lack the same educational opportunities as their wealthier peers, and schools frequently emphasize memorization over critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, many teachers do not receive adequate training or support, leading to high turnover rates that affect education quality. Early childhood education is often inaccessible to those who need it most, and the digital divide limits students' access to essential technology. Overcrowded classrooms prevent personalized attention, and schools frequently neglect students' mental health needs. To address these issues, we must ensure fair access to resources, update learning methods, support teachers with better training and working conditions, invest in early education, effectively integrate technology, reduce class sizes, and prioritize mental health support. By tackling these challenges, we can create a more inclusive and effective education system that prepares all children for a successful future.
Firstly there should be some guidelines for the strength of the student in class. One teacher can't make learning better in strength of 43-44 students class.
Secondly the pressure of completion of course. Due the this the teachers only focuses on completing the course.
Third the parents are not supportive, they just send their kids to school and after that their responsibility just end.
Here are my thoughts on the challenges in India's educational system and steps that can be taken to improve it:
Challenges: 1. Access and Equity: There is a significant disparity in access to quality education, especially in rural and underprivileged areas. Many children, particularly from marginalized communities, lack access to schools and have high dropout rates.
2. Infrastructure and Resources: Many schools, especially in rural areas, lack basic infrastructure like functional classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and access to technology. There is also a shortage of qualified and motivated teachers.
3. Learning Outcomes: A large number of children in India are not acquiring foundational literacy and numeracy skills. The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) has consistently highlighted poor learning outcomes across the country.
4. Outdated Curriculum: The curriculum and teaching methods often do not align with the changing needs of the 21st-century job market. There is a need to make the curriculum more relevant, experiential, and focused on developing 21st-century skills.
5. Lack of Early Childhood Care and Education: Investments in early childhood care and education are crucial, but this area is often overlooked or underfunded.
Steps to Improve: 1. Increase Investments: The government should significantly increase investments in education to improve infrastructure, resources, and teacher training and support.
2. Strengthen Early Childhood Education: Focus on expanding access to quality pre-school education and ensuring a smooth transition to primary schooling.
3. Improve Teacher Quality: Enhance teacher recruitment, training, and professional development to ensure that teachers are equipped with the necessary skills and are motivated.
4. Curriculum Reforms: Revise the curriculum to make it more aligned with the needs of the 21st-century job market, with a focus on developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and other essential skills.
5. Promote Digital Learning: Leverage technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences and improve access to education, especially in remote and underserved areas.
6. Community Engagement: Actively involve parents, communities, and local stakeholders in the education process to improve ownership, accountability, and support for schools.
7. Targeted Interventions: Implement targeted programs and policies to address the specific challenges faced by marginalized communities and ensure equitable access to quality education.
By addressing these challenges and implementing a comprehensive set of reforms, India can work towards providing quality education for all and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
To cure the problem of learning crisis, we can follow the path of diversified learning..where teacher will identify the needs of every learner and Try its best to address their need.
Change starts with a great teacher A growing body of evidence suggests the learning crisis is, at its core, a teaching crisis. For students to learn, they need good teachers—but many education systems pay little attention to what teachers know, what they do in the classroom, and in some cases whether they even show up.
Not much importance is given to primary education by the parents and hence the foundational education for early childhood is not satisfactory which subsequently impede the learning ability in future. More involvement on the part of parents in primary and foundational education would go a long way in the upbringing of the educational needs of the child.
We need to focus on the following areas: 1.All children must be enrolled in school at proper age 2. Parent awareness progragramme should be done on regular basis 3 As per .NEP 2020 ,competencies&21st century skills should be focused on 4. Toy / play based pedagogy can help in better achievement
According to me every child has a right to attain education the country. For this all the stake holders must take appropriate steps to avail the child his right to education. Standard rules and regulations are to be established to gain the fruitful results which would be possible through initiatives like ECCE.
Education should aim at upbringing a good citizen for a country. Children should be taught life skills for the overall development to be a good humane. Apart from literacy and numeracy, whatever they need to live as a human is what required and the need of the hour.
Children come from various backgrounds. Some are even 1st tym learners. Many a times both parents are professionals and busy with their careers. Nuclear family, broken families also add to these. Language barrier in school too can be an additional factor. Overburdened teachers, less tym to complete the portion, may hinder in the students attaining the required skills. The govt should have a reality-based curriculum designed with activities depending upon the various learning styles of the target group. Focus should be on attaining the required skill.
Many children face a learning crisis due to a lack of personalized learning, insufficient resources, and outdated teaching methods in our education system. To improve, we need tailored support, updated curriculum, teacher training, and equitable access to technology and resources.
1.Focus on learning, not just attendance: Many systems prioritize getting kids in schools, not if they're learning. We need to measure and address learning gaps.
2.Support struggling students early: Early intervention is key. Catching difficulties in reading and math early can prevent bigger problems later.
3.Empower teachers Financially and academically: Teachers need proper training and resources to address diverse learning styles and adapt to changing needs.ACR based promotions should be implemented.
4.Make it engaging: Traditional rote learning can be disengaging. We need to make classrooms interactive and cater to different learning styles.
5.Look beyond academics: Life skills like critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving are crucial for future success. Schools should nurture these too
Problem that are causing main hinderence in the path of school preparedness of the child are 1. Lo opportunities for the childrens with disadvantagious group. 2. New working time for the Teachers to give individual attention to the child. 3. Estimately low attention from the family as well. 4. Parents are not motivated to involve in the activities related to the child holistic development. 4. Low budget to inculcate new methods ICT tools to engage child. 5. Hyper burden on the teacher for the development or else we can say holistic development of the child. 6. Low active responses from parents and family members proofs to be major hindrance in the path of child development.
These things need to be tken into considertion
The learning crisis in our educational system stems from several issues: inadequate funding, teacher shortages, outdated curricula, inequality, an overemphasis on standardized testing, neglected mental health, lack of parental involvement, and technological gaps. To address these challenges, we need to increase and equitably distribute funding, enhance teacher training, update curricula to include critical skills, reduce educational disparities, shift away from excessive standardized testing, integrate mental health support, foster parental involvement, and improve access to technology. A multi-faceted approach involving governments, communities, educators, and families is essential to create a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
Many children are facing educational crisis because learning conditions are so poor.It is important for all children to have quality education with government investing in improving access to quality education to enlarge the pool of good teachers candidates. Many children are facing unequal access to education, outdated curricula and inadequate funding.Government and Organizations must invest in building schools in underserved areas, providing scholarships and financial aid to disadvantaged students through a combination of community involvement, mental health education, prioritisation of youth education and human rights education.
1) Continuous learning is must 2) give material on proper way with advance note. 3) no extra work / burden on teachers . 4) parents and students also responsible for learning and outcomes so government have to take some steps towards both side . 5) have faith on teachers and much more
1) There should govt school with all the modern facilities which can provide good quality of education.2) Good quality of Mid- Day meals must be provided in the school which can increase the no of students in the schools.3) The teaching staff must be trained in handling the students.4)The learning must be based on activities.4)Proper attention must be given on child's holistic development.
To increase in the students attendance the school must arrange some fun activities to keep engage the students in study the modern method of FLN and NEP 2020must be introduce.
Many parents in India lack the education necessary to mentor their kids at home. They therefore rely solely on the teachers. However, teachers are unable to provide each student their undivided attention. Children are typically not in an honest learning environment. A few of students disrupt the entire class. Instructors are unable to manage every student in the allotted time. As a result, they merely work for the sake of working. There isn't any commitment. The government has placed a lot of restrictions on teachers these days. The children's low performance is caused by all of these variables.
In a country like ours having world's almost next to largest population, majority is not properly educated and more than 75% of population is illiterate. To educate our children we need to first educate the parents. Each one teach at least one should be practiced by every educated person. School education should be accessible to all free of cost. It should begin from village level.
1.Teacher training and support 2. personalized learning approaches 3. Curriculum reform 4. Resources allocation 5. Students - centre assessment 6. Emphasize on socio-emotional learning
To eliminate the present and future crisis, we need such schools where all teachers are competent and motivated, empowered with pedagogical skills and able to bring quality learning, and where all students learn at their best, acquires age and class appropriate content knowledge and understanding as well as skills
Make sure that students learn in happy environment. Syllabus should be limited till 2 nd standard so that there is no burden. Basics should be given more importance. Just having lots of syllabus and completing it without looking at child's development is useless
For some schools there are many under privileged students. Parents are uneducated and they have less facilities for learning purposes. Teaching to such kind of children is not an easy job. Inspite of guiding them still they couldn't even read or write.
Some of the issues of our children to face learning crisis: 1.The Parents themselves being uneducated, do not give priority to educate their children. So, the children coming from such families are unprepared to learn. 2.Financial issues is another cause as there is no proper job for many, even if one is working, the pay is not enough, as the cost of living is high.
Curriculum should be changed meeting the present generation learning , Classroom number should be limited for good rapport building and interaction to know the student from within and good amount of resources to be handy to teacher to use while teaching and learning should be more of Hands on experience
Parents and teachers often have differing perceptions of a child's early development, particularly during crises. Parents may be more emotionally involved, seeing challenges as crises that could have long-term effects on their child's future. They might focus on immediate concerns, such as a child's behavior or academic struggles, with worry and a desire for quick solutions.
On the other hand, teachers might approach these situations with a broader perspective, informed by their experience with many children. They may view early developmental crises as normal stages of growth, offering reassurance and strategies to address issues over time. The key to bridging these perspectives is open communication, where both parties share their observations, concerns, and insights to support the child's development collaboratively.

Firstly, Teachers need to be motivated and passionate enough to teach children in simple , fun and interesting manner as per their needs. Sometimes, lot of investment is made on training of teachers but implementation does not happen on ground. Follow up and monitoring of best practices in classroom is important. Parents too need to be oriented well by school. Frequent parents teachers interaction and awareness programes must be organised.
Steps that could be taken to resolve learning crisis: 1. Allow students to study in school libraries after school hours 2.Parental counseling 3.Enable the students to learn from daily life household tasks also 3. Strengthening of special education facilities from pre-primary onwards

Learning should be competancy based. The lengthy syllabus and the traditional way of learning like rote learning and lack of hands on activities are the main reasons of lacking the child from FLN.
Sometime concepts are not clear to the learner so they are lagging Behind every time. To improve this educators must pay proper attention to clear the concepts. For this day can use play based activity or game fication
The learning crisis in our educational system can be attributed to several factors:
1. Outdated teaching methods 2. Lack of personalized learning 3. Insufficient teacher training 4. Limited resources and infrastructure 5. Inequitable access to quality education 6. Overemphasis on rote memorization 7. Inadequate assessment and feedback mechanisms 8. Poor parental involvement 9. Limited focus on socio-emotional learning 10. Bureaucratic red tape and policy gaps
*Steps to Improve:*
*Short-Term :*
1. Integrate technology-enhanced learning tools 2. Provide teacher training and professional development 3. Implement project-based learning and hands-on activities 4. Foster parental engagement through workshops and volunteer programs 5. Conduct regular assessments and feedback sessions
*Mid-Term :*
1. Revise curriculum to focus on 21st-century skills 2. Implement competency-based progression 3. Develop inclusive and diverse learning materials 4. Establish mentorship programs for students and teachers 5. Create community partnerships for resource sharing
*Long-Term :*
1. Reform education policy and funding allocation 2. Develop and implement effective teacher evaluation systems 3. Establish national standards for education 4. Increase access to quality education for marginalized groups 5. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
*Innovative Solutions:*
1. Gamification and interactive learning 2. Peer-to-peer learning and mentoring programs 3. Community-based learning initiatives
*Stakeholder Roles:*
1. Educators: Professional development, innovative teaching methods, and mentorship 2. Parents: Active involvement, support, and advocacy
By addressing these factors and implementing innovative solutions, we can work towards mitigating the learning crisis and creating a more effective and inclusive educational system.
Few parents are uneducated so they are unable to guide their children at home. Educated working parents are busy with their work and not spending quality time with their children. So the children entirely depend upon the teachers. On the other side teachers can't give full attention towards each child. All these factors lead to poor performance of children. We/ AWW must orient the parents about the importance of parents participation in child's development.
Social/financial problems are the main issue children are not send to Pre school. Together many parents doesn't take seriously the necessity of Pre schools, that's why few are not at all regular in class. Many parents consider Pre school a safer place while they are out for work. To provide training or awareness about the importance of foundational stage literacy and numeracy to an extent will solve this issue.
The main issue in our education system is the lack of individualized attention and resources for each child's needs, especially for those facing learning difficulties. Many schools lack proper training, support, and tools for teachers to address diverse learning styles.
To improve, we need to:
Provide more training for teachers to recognize and support different learning needs. Increase funding for schools, especially in underserved areas, to provide better resources. Use technology to create personalized learning plans for students. Focus on mental health and emotional support to help children cope with challenges. Encourage parental involvement and community support in education.
-Lack of awareness -not realising the importance of education at foundational stage. -lack of funds. - low socio-economic background. -lack of facilities/equipments. -non -supportive family background and environment.. - no/less parental support. Steps to improve: -Spread awareness and importance of education. -funds should be increased/provided. -parental support is a must. Latest facilities/equipments should be provided to remain updated. -trained teachers with updated knowledge.
In my point of view here are some reasons for it. 1) Inadequate Funding and Resource Allocation: Many educational systems suffer from insufficient funding, leading to under-resourced schools, outdated infrastructure, and a lack of essential learning materials. This can create an unequal learning environment, hindering the progress of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. 2) Teacher Training and Development: In many cases, teachers lack adequate training and professional development opportunities. This can result in ineffective teaching methods, outdated pedagogical approaches, and a lack of support for students with diverse learning needs. 3) Curriculum Rigidity and Lack of Innovation: Traditional, rigid curricula may not cater to the diverse learning styles and interests of all students. A lack of emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application can make learning less engaging and relevant for students. 4) Overemphasis on Standardized Testing: An overreliance on standardized tests can narrow the curriculum, limiting students' exposure to a broader range of subjects and skills. This can also create undue stress and anxiety for students. 5) Inadequate Support for Students with Special Needs: Many educational systems lack the resources and expertise to effectively support students with disabilities or special needs.

To tackle the learning crisis, we must reframe education as a holistic process that nurtures children’s cognitive, emotional, and social development. Addressing these issues requires a multi-faceted approach, involving investment from governments, communities, teachers, and families. By ensuring equity and focusing on the individual needs of each child, we can foster a more inclusive, innovative, and resilient education system that prepares all children for the challenges of the future.

In my view, the learning crisis in our educational system stems from several gaps. Many schools lack qualified and motivated teachers, which directly impacts the quality of teaching. There’s also a severe shortage of resources like books, teaching aids, and infrastructure, especially in rural areas. I’ve noticed that the curriculum is often outdated and heavily exam-focused, leaving little room for creativity or critical thinking. Language barriers also play a big role, as children often struggle to learn in a language unfamiliar to them. Additionally, economic hardships and lack of support lead to high dropout rates, especially among marginalized groups.
To address this, we need to focus on teacher training and equip schools with proper infrastructure. Prioritizing foundational literacy and numeracy through interactive, child-centered methods is critical. Involving parents and communities can make a big difference, as can introducing technology and language-sensitive teaching. Education needs to be inclusive, relevant, and practical for real improvement.
June 3, 2024 at 10:25 AM To improve educational system - Learning at early stage should be started. Home is the 1st school for kids,so upto some extent parents should take Initiative to teach kids at early stage which is important for them, which i. Turns make education system more impactful.
Limited parent support, poor infrastructure, old pedagogy, outdated curriculum, exam focused, little room for creativity and unenthusiastic teachers are the main reason for the crisis in learning. The need of the hour is that the government has to provide high quality infrasturcture, adopt modern pedagogy, updatd curriculum , encourage parent involvement, include activity based learning , enhancing teacher skill.
•Age criteria for the child should be followed •Parents should be aware updated and should participate equally in the process •Child should be given appropriate environment with trained teachers and good resources. •Well planned curriculum should be followed.
Our education system lacks personalized learning, critical thinking focus, and practical application. Rote memorization dominates over creativity and problem-solving. To improve, we must adopt interactive teaching, integrate technology, train teachers effectively, and ensure equal access to quality education. A shift toward skill-based learning will empower students to think independently and adapt to real-world challenges.
Students should be taken out for facing the real life situation and make them experience everything they need to know by reading the books.
Skilling up should be necessary in early age also through learning by doing methods. Also exposure to outside environments is very important from childhood like going to picnic and different cities with parents or teachers.
The challenges being faced in getting children, parents and teachers ready for school- For Children- getting ready for school can indeed prove to be stressful for some students. An encouraging and supportive attitude towards the children and school will go a long way in settling kids in school. For Teacher- Anxious children have a lot of questions about the face mask on day one. Teachers face a hard time in getting students to be more self-directed. Though teachers desperately want to teach, each chapter with all the passion and commitment they have, they don’t actually get enough time to make it into effect. For Parents- Parents need to be able to convince the kids to help them adjust to the new environment.
In our country there are large number of people who are uneducated some have financial problems. There is no sufficient transport facility.Lack of awareness regrading about the importance of education in rural areas. We should enlighten the society on the importance of education
The Steps to Improve the Educational System: 1. Enhance Teacher Quality: - Fill teacher gaps and attract skilled professionals to teaching. - Provide training tailored to students' needs and innovative curricula. - Offer competitive pay and career structures to retain top educators.
2. Focus on Foundational Skills: - Prioritize literacy and numeracy in early grades to reduce learning poverty. - Consolidate curricula to emphasize essential content missed during disruptions.
3. Improve Access and Equity: - Ensure all children return to classrooms, especially in marginalized communities. - Invest in digital infrastructure for equitable access to online learning tools.
4. Strengthen Support Systems: - Develop classroom assessments to identify students at risk of falling behind. - Increase parental involvement and community engagement in children’s education.
5. Boost Funding - Increase national education budgets and mobilize international resources for sustainable improvements.
Addressing these issues through systemic reforms can help mitigate the learning crisis and enable children to thrive academically and socially.
Think about sensory activities and experiences for each sensory organ. Share how these sensory activities are beneficial for the young children in the Anganwadi.
You must have seen children around you in your family or neighbourhood. Think about the developmental characteristics of children and share on how they play, learn and grow?

DeleteThere are many things which become an impediment in the process of learning of children.
ReplyDeleteTeachers have no say in developing syllabus in accordance with the learning capabilities of the children.

ReplyDeleteCost of living in metros have working parents with jobs leaving hardly anytime to spend quality time with their children, hence neglected .
ReplyDeleteThere are many reasons due to which children are facing learning crisis. Some of them are as follows:
ReplyDelete1.Lack of stimulating environment at home or at school.
2.In some cases , Parents don't pay attention on their child 's study.

ReplyDeleteLack of infrastructure, healthy environment, ignorant and illiterate parents, poverty are few of the reasons for learning crisis. If Government can spend and provide full pay scale to the teachers then why does our Government not able to provide sound infrastructure and services for building of the nation. Children are the future of the country and with more than 5 crore children who have not attained Foundational Literacy and Numeracy at elementary level is an alarming situation.
ReplyDeleteLearning crisis in our educational system may have following reasons:
ReplyDelete1. Poor home environment of students ,so, they can't revise what they learn in schools and eventually forget everything

ReplyDeleteAt the earliest stage ,students fave lack of excitement and consequently readiness to eben attend school.
ReplyDeleteIn our educational system a smooth transition from family to school is missing. Many of the students are not ready for the evry first class. ReplyDeleteReasons for the learning crisis-
ReplyDeletea) Little information about the learners.
b) Little attention to what teachers know.
c) Absence of good infrastructure facilities
d) Lack of proper training of Principals and teachers to manage and lead school
Economic conditions, lack of awareness
ReplyDeleteEducation of parents socio economic condition are also contributing factors
ReplyDeleteAttrition rates, loopholes not being plugged by new teacher due to lack of information, lack of educational background of families.
ReplyDeleteIn our country there are many children who lives in rural areas they dont have any facilities . systemshould provide them basic needs as well as education, etc
ReplyDeleteWe need S2 and S1 officially instead of own for better results
ReplyDeleteParents are not educated ..Bookish knowledge student prefer practical knowledge..they learn fast than bookish knowledge.financial problem..
ReplyDeleteLearning crisis due to various reasons :
ReplyDelete1.
ReplyDeleteIn our current education system...for early years there is no fix curriculum to follow.. Different schools institutions are following their own curriculum for early years..
ReplyDeleteThere should be common curriculum to follow, even books .
School and institutions will provide innovative teaching learning material material
Regular parents workshop should be taken for how to teach children at home
How to encourage children for learning with daily experience s
The children are large in number in all the classes. We have applied western system without the proper infrastructure.
ReplyDeleteThe main reason is use of foreign language at preparatory level.
ReplyDeleteFinancial issue is the main hindrance. Poor people can't afford as if government provides the free education but still most of the people below poverty line are not interested to teach their children.
ReplyDeleteKids struggle because old stuff, teachers need better training, and schools need more money. Fix it with fun lessons, ongoing learning, and extra cash for schools. Keep it personal and supportive to turn things around.
ReplyDeleteLack of transport facility, financial problems and lack of education in parents are the main reasons. In order to overcome this Government should take necessary steps
ReplyDeleteThe learning crisis often stems from inadequate resources, outdated curricula, and unequal access to education. To address this, investment in teacher training, updated materials, and technology integration is crucial. Additionally, focusing on inclusive policies, reducing disparities in access, and promoting innovative teaching methods can contribute to a more effective and equitable educational system.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of reasons like Many children don't turn up to school because the learning conditions are so poor. It is important for all children to have teachers with at least a good secondary-level qualification. Therefore, governments should invest in improving access to quality secondary education to enlarge the pool of good teacher candidates.
ReplyDeleteSome of the important issues & problems faced by our education system are illiterate parents, lack of attraction towards education, improper way of teaching and lack of infrastructure
ReplyDeletethere are many steps we can make activities learning by doing ,DIY etc ,making of TLM etc
ReplyDeleteThe current education system is suffering from lack of attention or accessibility which can be due to uneducated parents, financial issues and general lack of attraction to school among the children. There should be more emphasis on the facilities, curriculums that cover a wide variety of subjects and activities, actions to educate parents on the importance of education and easier availability of education to those who are financially troubled.
ReplyDeleteThe parents are not enough educated to take care of their children. Education has become more commercial and moadministrative.
ReplyDeleteParents should take care of their children under the guidance of teachers which can help mutually and children academically...
ReplyDeleteA productive parents' meet can help us clap better in the long time. Children need punctual care, parents need consistent monitoring on their child and teachers hardworking.
ReplyDeleteWe are still living in the era of Commit and Vomit and also Quite and Wrote Method of teaching. Our education system is a one way process where the teacher teach and the students listens.Vht for how long. When such teaching becones monotonous, students will be diverted from real studies. Our Examination Systems test the memory not the intelligence. This the defective Macaulay 's Teaching Minutes.
ReplyDeleteWe must apply pragmatic approach while teaching and allow the students to be the part of teaching learning process.Further, in developed countries, open book system of examinations are practised, where the questions are constructed in such a way that even after looking at the books ,they need the cognitive functions to frame the correct answers
More importantly, the teachers should be given all their due rights because a state where teachers are treated as burdens will will never progress.Teachers ,if provided all their basic rights can bring about revolution in the education system.
There should a proper plan and good cooperation between govt and people, The coordination in such away that should be constructive and positive
ReplyDeleteStudents are forced to read the books which they don't want to do. Thy should not be forced to read. Students should be taken out for facing the real life situation and make them experience everything they need to know by reading the books.
ReplyDeleteNEED FOR OUE EDUCATION SYSTEM
ReplyDelete1Need to grow in isolation without interference
2 Policies framed from Grassroot Level-Teacher Level
3 Incubation period to HOI to grow its institution.
There are so many problems which the society faces. The main problem is illiteracy ol parents and financial problem. More and more financial and parental support is need of an hour
ReplyDeleteSome reasons may be:
ReplyDelete1.Lack of required infrastructure, lack of staff for primary as well as pre-primary classes .
2.Lack of motivation
3. Illiterate parents
Lack of knowledge about the crucial developmental stage of child brain from parents side is the main reason
ReplyDeleteLack of staff... Lake of parent control on children, lack of time for learning something because of record works...
ReplyDeleteless time for experiential learning and more to rote memorization, the curriculum and time allotted to it is such that teachers main focus is towards completion of syllabus without recapitulating or assessing the need for remedial
ReplyDeleteat pre primary level, however imphasised , you see teachers teaching alphabets and number by rote
less importance is given to phonics or learning language by reading or listening story books , or by communication
math is a conceptual subject, where no effort is done to teach the concepts eg tables ...whole effort is in rote memorization , rather than teaching what multiplication is .
more hindrances are - awareness level or background of parents, where very less support is provided to pupil at home.
lack of use of mother tongue. english cannot be main medium of teaching. it has to be bilingual where a concept in first understood in mother tongue and grasped in foreign language later or simultaneously .
TEACHER TRAINING has to be looked into !
Due to lack of play ground facilities and infrastructure and also cooperation of parents children showing less intrest in learning
ReplyDeleteAt the earliest stage ,students fave lack of excitement and consequently readiness to eben attend school. Then there's the lack of inclusiveness, children are fed what the education systems deem favourable but there should be more interesting contents made available to students.
ReplyDeleteStudents are forced to read the books which they don't want to do. Thy should not be forced to read. Students should be taken out for facing the real life situation and make them experience everything they need to know by reading the books.
ReplyDeleteThere are multiple factors that contribute in the defective educational system of our country some are as.Lack of staff... Lake of parent control on children, lack of time for learning something because of record works and especially the contribution of parents are equal to nothing. The position will not change untill the bond between parent and teacher strengthen by keeping child at the centre.
ReplyDeleteI think, Due to lack of play ground facilities and infrastructure and also cooperation of parents children showing less intrest in learning new things.
ReplyDeleteAddressing the learning crisis in our educational system requires a multi-faceted approach:
ReplyDelete1. Individualized Learning Plans:
• Implement personalized learning strategies that cater to individual student's needs, allowing them to progress at their own pace.
2. Teacher Training and Support:
• Provide ongoing professional development for teachers, focusing on modern teaching methods, technology integration, and understanding diverse learning styles.
3.Curriculum Relevance:
• Regularly review and update the curriculum to ensure it aligns with real-world needs, promotes critical thinking, and integrates practical skills.
Holistic Development of children through joyful learning activities
Teachers to be included in the syllabus preparation, text book making and upgradation.
Many reasons are there.
ReplyDelete1.Early care is not provided amply, ECCE facilities are lacking, parents are uneducated besides poverty is also a cause.
Addressing learning crises may be undertaken by giving academic support to teachers, providing individual attention to children and preparing revised curriculla.
Too much emphasize is on teaching and learning.
ReplyDeletePhysical activities like playing periods are minimum.
We are often reminded that there are 3 pillars in the learning process; teacher, student and the parent. But, parents do not support their children at home making it tough for teachers to make actual learning happen.
ReplyDeleteTeachers have no say in developing syllabus in accordance with the learning capabilities of the children.
ReplyDeleteThe learning crisis among children is often fueled by inequitable access to education, outdated teaching methods, resource constraints, and a narrow focus on academic achievement.
ReplyDeleteTeaching learning process should be interactive.

Steps to be taken to address:-
Addressing these issues requires comprehensive reforms focused on
1. Improving infrastructure,
2. Teacher training (continuous professional Development)
3. Curriculum development,
4. Utilisation of Technology to improve educational system,
5. Framing and implementing new education policies at standard intervals and

ReplyDeleteBasic education should be good. Parents and teachers need to focus on basic education of children.
ReplyDeleteTeachers need support of parents but they don't cooperate.lack of parental care
ReplyDeleteLack of funds, poverty, illiteracy among parents and insufficient teacher training causes learning crises
ReplyDeleteIlliteracy among parents, poverty, Lack of funds ,insufficient teacher training causes crises among large no. of children.
ReplyDeleteMost of the government teachers don't follow pedagogy. The situation in rural areas are worst. Unless teachers take the responsibility it is difficult to bring about the change.
ReplyDeleteThe children who are first generation learners, do not get support from their parents. Their parents do not understand the importance of learning and their are financial constraints also due to which many children remain deprived of required level of learning. Besides that there is a lot of burden on teachers in India.
ReplyDeleteIn our country there are many children who lives in rural area like ladakh they do not have any facilities and lack of transport facility, financial problem. In order to Government should take necessary step.
ReplyDeleteA growing body of evidence suggests the learning crisis is, at its core, a teaching crisis. For students to learn, they need good teachers—but many education systems pay little attention to what teachers know, what they do in the classroom, and in some cases whether they even show up.
ReplyDeleteCurriculum should suit the children.teachers insufficient
ReplyDeleteIn our schools number of students in a class is very high. When a child wants care teacher is unable to give the attention because she wants to take care of all others. So teacher student ratio should be decreased.
ReplyDeleteMost importantly children come from different backgrounds different community different mindset that parents hold. It becomes tough for kids who belongs to uneducated gaurdians. Secondly the teachers of government school pay low to minimum attention towards those kids. I see many anganwadi teachers who are merely intrested in teaching kids. If the authorities can pay can address these issues change is possible.
ReplyDeleteLack of willingness of the parents of children is one of the barriers, secondly adequate home atmosphere is also not provided...if these difficulties are addressed a visible change is possible.
ReplyDelete1)Most parents are illiterate
ReplyDelete2)Teachers are not engaged in the field seriously only 50%are teaching at any given time.
3)maximum rate of drop - out
Parents take primary background light as they think the child is small and does not focus much.
ReplyDeleteUneducated parents.
More of mobile usage by the children.
Proper teachers training and the strength of the classes.
ReplyDeleteNational Education Policy 2020 highlighted that various governmental, as well as non-governmental surveys, indicate that we are currently in a learning crisis: a large proportion of students currently in elementary school- estimated to be over 5 crores in number - have not attained foundational literacy and numeracy, i.e., the ability to read and comprehend basic text and the ability to carry out basic addition and subtraction with Indian numerals.
ReplyDeleteNuclear family, broken families also add to these.
ReplyDeleteFirstly there should be some guidelines for the strength of the student in class. One teacher can't make learning better in strength of 43-44 students class.
ReplyDeleteSecondly the pressure of completion of course. Due the this the teachers only focuses on completing the course.
Third the parents are not supportive, they just send their kids to school and after that their responsibility just end.
Here are my thoughts on the challenges in India's educational system and steps that can be taken to improve it:
ReplyDeleteChallenges:
Steps to Improve:
ReplyDeleteChange starts with a great teacher
ReplyDeleteA growing body of evidence suggests the learning crisis is, at its core, a teaching crisis. For students to learn, they need good teachers—but many education systems pay little attention to what teachers know, what they do in the classroom, and in some cases whether they even show up.
Not much importance is given to primary education by the parents and hence the foundational education for early childhood is not satisfactory which subsequently impede the learning ability in future. More involvement on the part of parents in primary and foundational education would go a long way in the upbringing of the educational needs of the child.
ReplyDeleteWe need to focus on the following areas:
ReplyDelete1.All children must be enrolled in school at proper age
2. Parent awareness progragramme should be done on regular basis
3 As per .NEP 2020 ,competencies&21st century skills should be focused on
4. Toy / play based pedagogy can help in better achievement
According to me every child has a right to attain education the country. For this all the stake holders must take appropriate steps to avail the child his right to education. Standard rules and regulations are to be established to gain the fruitful results which would be possible through initiatives like ECCE.
ReplyDeleteWe must prepare pupil previously what we taught, and we supply, support for learn content..
ReplyDeleteEducation should aim at upbringing a good citizen for a country. Children should be taught life skills for the overall development to be a good humane. Apart from literacy and numeracy, whatever they need to live as a human is what required and the need of the hour.
ReplyDeleteChildren come from various backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteEvery student has different types of needs. Each student's requirements should be interpreted individually and addressed properly.
ReplyDelete1.Lack of teachers in elementary schools.
ReplyDelete2.Lack of trained teachers.
Many children face a learning crisis due to a lack of personalized learning, insufficient resources, and outdated teaching methods in our education system. To improve, we need tailored support, updated curriculum, teacher training, and equitable access to technology and resources.
ReplyDeleteLack of trained teachers
ReplyDelete1.Focus on learning, not just attendance: Many systems prioritize getting kids in schools, not if they're learning. We need to measure and address learning gaps.
ReplyDelete2.Support struggling students early: Early intervention is key.
Schools should nurture these too
Problem that are causing main hinderence in the path of school preparedness of the child are
ReplyDelete1.
Unfortunately many crores families are busy to earn two square of meals and the don't think necessary to go for any education type of thing.
ReplyDeleteChildren comming from illiterate parents don't know how to make use of education
ReplyDeleteThere are many things which become an impediment in the process of learning of children. The children are mostly first generation learners. Their parents think that admitting their children in a school is absolves them of their responsibility. They think it to be sole responsibility of a teacher to make him/her learned. We are often reminded that there are 3 pillars in the learning process; teacher, student and the parent.
ReplyDeleteMany children are facing educational crisis because learning conditions are so poor.It is important for all children to have quality education with government investing in improving access to quality education to enlarge the pool of good teachers candidates. Many children are facing unequal access to education, outdated curricula and inadequate funding.Government and Organizations must invest in building schools in underserved areas, providing scholarships and financial aid to disadvantaged students through a combination of community involvement, mental health education, prioritisation of youth education and human rights education.
ReplyDelete1) Continuous learning is must 2) give material on proper way with advance note. 3) no extra work / burden on teachers . 4) parents and students also responsible for learning and outcomes so government have to take some steps towards both side . 5) have faith on teachers and much more
ReplyDelete1) There should govt school with all the modern facilities which can provide good quality of education.2) Good quality of Mid- Day meals must be provided in the school which can increase the no of students in the schools.3) The teaching staff must be trained in handling the students.4)The learning must be based on activities.4)Proper attention must be given on child's holistic development.
ReplyDeleteTeachers should follow the pedagogy for learning.
ReplyDeleteTo increase in the students attendance the school must arrange some fun activities to keep engage the students in study the modern method of FLN and NEP 2020must be introduce.

ReplyDeleteMany parents in India lack the education necessary to mentor their kids at home.
ReplyDeleteIn a country like ours having world's almost next to largest population, majority is not properly educated and more than 75% of population is illiterate.
ReplyDeleteTo educate our children we need to first educate the parents. Each one teach at least one should be practiced by every educated person. School education should be accessible to all free of cost. It should begin from village level.
More schools in ruler area's should open
ReplyDelete1.Teacher training and support
ReplyDelete2. personalized learning approaches
3. Curriculum reform
4. Resources allocation
5. Students - centre assessment
ReplyDeleteMake sure that students learn in happy environment. Syllabus should be limited till 2 nd standard so that there is no burden. Basics should be given more importance. Just having lots of syllabus and completing it without looking at child's development is useless
ReplyDeleteFor some schools there are many under privileged students. Parents are uneducated and they have less facilities for learning purposes. Teaching to such kind of children is not an easy job. Inspite of guiding them still they couldn't even read or write.
ReplyDelete1.Teacher training and support

Some of the issues of our children to face learning crisis:
ReplyDelete1.The Parents themselves being uneducated, do not give priority to educate their children.
ReplyDeletelack of infrastructure

ReplyDeleteTeacher student ratio should be maintained for better learning. There should be more of Hands on experience. Curriculum reforms
ReplyDeleteDiksha tiwari-parents are not educated
ReplyDeleteParents are not taking early childhood education seriously
ReplyDeleteMany children face a learning crisis because our education system often doesn't prepare them well for school. Key issues include:
1. Lack of Early Childhood Education: Many kids start school without basic skills like language, social interaction, and motor skills.
2. Unequal Access to Resources: Not all children have access to quality schools, materials, or trained teachers.
3. Outdated Teaching Methods: The focus is often on memorization rather than critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Steps to Improve:
1. Invest in Early Education: Provide quality early childhood programs that build foundational skills.
2. Equal Access to Resources: Ensure every child, regardless of background, has access to good schools and teachers.
3. Modernize Teaching Approaches: Shift towards teaching methods that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and real-world application.
These changes can help more children succeed in school and beyond.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, teachers might approach these situations with a broader perspective, informed by their experience with many children. They may view early developmental crises as normal stages of growth, offering reassurance and strategies to address issues over time. The key to bridging these perspectives is open communication, where both parties share their observations, concerns, and insights to support the child's development collaboratively.

ReplyDeleteThe main problem in our system is the rot memorization system.
ReplyDeleteThe second problem is with the technique that the teachers uses
Every parent should understand this concept because if one child is left behind it will disturb classroom.
ReplyDeleteTeacher-student ratio should be maintained. Hands-on activities should be done instead of rote memorization.
ReplyDeleteFirstly, Teachers need to be motivated and passionate enough to teach children in simple , fun and interesting manner as per their needs. Sometimes, lot of investment is made on training of teachers but implementation does not happen on ground. Follow up and monitoring of best practices in classroom is important. Parents too need to be oriented well by school. Frequent parents teachers interaction and awareness programes must be organised.
ReplyDeleteSteps that could be taken to resolve learning crisis:
ReplyDelete1. Allow students to study in school libraries after school hours
2.Parental counseling
3.Enable the students to learn from daily life household tasks also
3. Strengthening of special education facilities from pre-primary onwards

Learning should be competancy based. The lengthy syllabus and the traditional way of learning like rote learning and lack of hands on activities are the main reasons of lacking the child from FLN.
ReplyDeleteSometime concepts are not clear to the learner so they are lagging Behind every time. To improve this educators must pay proper attention to clear the concepts. For this day can use play based activity or game fication

ReplyDeleteParents are uneducated, lack of awareness, financial problems.
ReplyDeleteSocial/financial problems are the main issue children are not send to Pre school. Together many parents doesn't take seriously the necessity of Pre schools, that's why few are not at all regular in class. Many parents consider Pre school a safer place while they are out for work.
ReplyDeleteTo provide training or awareness about the importance of foundational stage literacy and numeracy to an extent will solve this issue.
The main issue in our education system is the lack of individualized attention and resources for each child's needs, especially for those facing learning difficulties. Many schools lack proper training, support, and tools for teachers to address diverse learning styles.
ReplyDeleteTo improve, we need to:
Provide more training for teachers to recognize and support different learning needs.
Increase funding for schools, especially in underserved areas, to provide better resources.
Use technology to create personalized learning plans for students.
Focus on mental health and emotional support to help children cope with challenges.
Encourage parental involvement and community support in education.
-Lack of awareness

ReplyDeleteIn my point of view here are some reasons for it.
ReplyDelete1) Inadequate Funding and Resource Allocation: Many educational systems suffer from insufficient funding, leading to under-resourced schools, outdated infrastructure, and a lack of essential learning materials.
ReplyDeleteTo tackle the learning crisis, we must reframe education as a holistic process that nurtures children’s cognitive, emotional, and social development. Addressing these issues requires a multi-faceted approach, involving investment from governments, communities, teachers, and families. By ensuring equity and focusing on the individual needs of each child, we can foster a more inclusive, innovative, and resilient education system that prepares all children for the challenges of the future.

ReplyDeleteIn my view, the learning crisis in our educational system stems from several gaps.
ReplyDeleteTo address this, we need to focus on teacher training and equip schools with proper infrastructure. Prioritizing foundational literacy and numeracy through interactive, child-centered methods is critical. Involving parents and communities can make a big difference, as can introducing technology and language-sensitive teaching. Education needs to be inclusive, relevant, and practical for real improvement.
Learning by doing -is the best method to create interest in learning.
ReplyDeleteSocial and economic disparity are the main reasons which cause difficulty in the smooth functioning of our educational system

ReplyDeleteTo improve educational system -
Learning at early stage should be started.
ReplyDelete•Age criteria for the child should be followed
ReplyDelete•Parents should be aware updated and should participate equally in the process
•Child should be given appropriate environment with trained teachers and good resources.
Skilling up should be necessary in early age also through learning by doing methods. Also exposure to outside environments is very important from childhood like going to picnic and different cities with parents or teachers.
ReplyDeleteLack of good indoor and outdoor spaces and lack of creativity amongst teachers
ReplyDeleteThe challenges being faced in getting children, parents and teachers ready for school-
ReplyDeleteFor Children- getting ready for school can indeed prove to be stressful for some students.
Teachers should follow the pedagogy for learning.
ReplyDeleteIn our country there are large number of people who are uneducated some have financial problems. There is no sufficient transport facility.Lack of awareness regrading about the importance of education in rural areas. We should enlighten the society on the importance of education
ReplyDeleteLearning by doing is the best way to make learning interesting.
